Seringül KARAKAYA, a 54-year-old patient who underwent surgery for ameloblastoma (a bone tumor) in her jaw in 2004, continued to live a healthy life through regular follow-ups for 19 years. In March 2023, she noticed swelling on the right side of her face and sought assistance from the KTU FarabiHospital Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic. Following various examinations, it was determined that the tumor had affected her cheekbone this time. After completing the necessary tests and imaging, the patient’s condition was evaluated by Assoc. Prof. Bengü ÇOBANOĞLU. It was found that the tumor had not spread to other parts of her body, and the patient underwent surgery to remove both the tumor and her cheekbone. After the wound healed, the patient regained her health.
