A patient who experienced bone loss and deformity in the forehead area following a brain tumor surgery was restored to health with a specialized method applied at KTÜ Farabi Hospital. The team led by Plastic Surgery Specialist Prof. Dr. Muhammet Uraloğlu reproduced the patient's missing bone tissue in exact dimensions using 3D printing technology, similar to the logic of a dental implant. Thanks to the surgery, which was completed in a short time with precise work, the patient's complaints were completely resolved. These custom-made implants produced at METAM center within the university are performed exclusively at KTÜ east of Ankara.
